IMAGE PREPARATION
Prepare photographs of documents before making a PDF
Check crop, rotation and readable text before putting phone photographs onto PDF pages.
A photograph becomes a PDF page without automatically becoming a clean scan. RSSheetPack embeds the selected JPEG or PNG images and fits them onto pages. Shadows, tilted framing, background clutter and unreadable text already in the photograph remain part of the document unless prepared beforehand.
Review the photograph as a document image
Open each source and inspect the smallest text the reader will need. Check that the page is fully captured, the orientation is upright and no corner is missing. Uneven light or reflections can hide content even when the pixel dimensions are large. If the photograph cannot be read comfortably, capture a clearer source instead of expecting the PDF container to repair it.
Prepare crop and rotation before selecting files
Use an appropriate image editor or capture workflow to remove unnecessary surroundings and correct orientation. Keep the original capture in case the crop excludes useful content. RSSheetPack does not offer perspective correction, background cleanup or rotation controls. A prepared upright source gives the page-fitting operation a much better starting point than a sideways image with a desk filling half its rectangle.
Choose a page layout that preserves readability
Select A4, Letter or image-shaped pages according to the destination. Standard pages fit the complete prepared image within margins, so unnecessary source padding reduces how much space the document content occupies. Preview a small test document first. A page that looks clear as a full-screen photograph can become harder to read when fitted into a smaller physical print area.
Open the PDF before sharing it
Inspect every page in the saved result, checking orientation, text and any missing corners. Confirm that the image order matches the intended document sequence. The PDF does not add OCR or a new searchable text layer; its readable information comes from the embedded images. Keep the source images until the reader has a useful document, and rename the saved PDF to identify its contents and revision.
Put the example to work
